A SPECIAL NORTH COUNTRY ATMOSPHERE Because we believe that the quality of life is
as important as the quality of care, we have created an atmosphere that's both
comfortable and stimulating - with a distinctive North Country touch. Small in size, Heritage Rehabilitation and
Living Center has private and semi-private rooms. Our bedrooms and common areas
such as dining rooms and lounges are tastefully appointed and impeccably
maintained. The rural setting is peaceful, with a beautiful, spacious lawn and
decks for outside gatherings. Meals are nutritious and appealing. Our award-winning menus are carefully developed by a registered dietitian, food service supervisor and the patients themselves.
ENJOYING LIFE Heritage
offers many opportunities for social relationships. Our stimulating, well-rounded
activities program ranges from current events discussion groups and exercise
classes to barbecues, films and "Lunch with Santa." We hold frequent
outings in our wheelchair-accessible van for lunch, shopping, and special
events. We enjoy a strong link with the local
community. Heritage welcomes the public to participate in facility programs such
as a Halloween Haunted House and regular health screenings. We are actively
represented in the Winthrop Business and Professional Guild. Weekly religious services provide an
opportunity for patients to fulfill their
spiritual needs. Heritage Rehabilitation and Living
Center also offers optional amenities such as private phone lines, cable
television, and in-house hair stylist services. DIRECTIONS: From Augusta: Take Route 202 West to Bob Barrows Chevrolet. Turn right
